4th of July at Lake Calico

We spent the 4th of July weekend at our good friends, the Waites, lake house this year. We had such a great time just hanging out , wake boarding, and intertubbing all weekend. On Sunday morning Justin and I convinced Laney to wake board with her Daddy. She was very nervous and cried the first time she did it. On her first trip out it took at little bribery for a visit to chucky cheese. She did so good while she was out there! We were so proud of her for trying this at only 3 years old! It can be scary behind a big boat at that age. The next day she went on the intertube with Justin and they had so much fun. She was switching positions from laying down to sitting up and she just had the cutest smile on her face the whole time. All that day we kept asking her if she wanted to try wake boarding again and she kept saying no. Then finally she told Justin that she wanted to go again, but worked him for the pillow pet she has been asking for! It was so cool that she decided that she wanted to go again! This time out she didn't cry at all and Justin said she was talking to him the whole time! Looks like she is going to enjoy the water sports as much as Justin and I do.

Here we are waiting for the fireworks to start. John did an awesome show for the whole lake out on his dock.

There was even a live jazz band that came out and played for a couple of hours. We had such a great time.
