Reflecting back...

I haven't been blogging all that long and I feel that I have missed a lot of pretty big events that have happened in my life. So, I though I would take a walk down memory lane and fill everyone in on my life from the point that I met Justin 10 1/2 years ago. Well here it goes... Justin and I started to date when we were 15 and sophomores in high school. I guess you can say we were destined to be together no matter what. Justin has always had a way of making me laugh like no one else can and has a way of making me feel so special. We very quickly became good friends our first year in high school, then shortly after became inseparable. We have grown up together and have built our lives just the way we have always wanted it to be. These first pictures are of us in high school. The quality is terrible because I had to take pictures of my old pictures.
We continued dating through our late teens and into our twenties. Justin was kept very busy with a job as a general manager at The Sun Club and I was in cosmetology school and working at the tanning salon as well. Life was good...
But got even better when Justin proposed to me on a Friday night in May at Huntington beach. This picture really shows the excitement I was feeling. After so many years together we were finally getting MARRIED!!!
Well the big day came very quickly. I was so lucky to have all the help from my Mom, Mother in law and family and friends to make this day as special as it was. It was a winter wonderland. It was so beautiful I will never forget it. I spent the morning with my two closest friends Erica and Megan, getting ready at the hair salon then at my house. We had a quiet lunch at my house together just the three of us before all the excitement started. Our ceremony was at the cutest little chapel in upland called Fleur de Lis, which means flower of the lily. Cute huh? That's why I checked it out because of the cute name! Then we had a beautiful reception to follow at the Diamond bar center. Here are some pics of the day. A couple of days after our wedding we enjoyed a very relaxing week in Maui. We had so much fun hanging out on the beach, Justin surfed and we ate and shopped a ton! Here are some pictures from our honeymoon!
During all this wedding madness and honeymoon we happened to buy our very first home!
After about a year and a half we gave our families this news... Here I am full belly and all... And on April 19, 2007 Laney Mae Flood was born. And this is where the Flood's are at today.

How did you work on it for 3 hours? Was Laney napping?

lindseyflood said...

Yeah I worked on it the whole time she slept. ( even thought there was plenty of other things I should have been doing!)

That was ADORABLE! I love the song, the pictures, and your story. I think I know the laugh you're talking about. I see how Justin makes you laugh like that all the time!
Yes, the wave picture is crazy cool! You have to enlarge and frame that. And I also love the one of you guys in the car on your wedding day! So many cute pics.
And the title of your blog! It's perfect! So, so cute! It sounds like a t.v. show! Very cute.
You'll be glad you spent the 3 hours because it's such a keepsake right? Much faster and cleaner than scrapbooking.

I know, I am sooo glad I spent the time on this! I felt like I had so much good stuff on Laney but not for Justin and me. I agree too, this is so much Easier than scrapping, but I think I will still try and do it. I love having the albums to look back on.
