Easter at the Flood's

This year we had quite the busy Easter Sunday. It started early in the morning with Laney crawling into our bed forgetting what the morning was to bring. I asked her if she remembered what today was and what she left on her bed the night before. After a few seconds a big smile swept across her face and she asked if the Easter Bunny came. We all waled sown stairs to start looking for our baskets. The Easter Bunny left Laney's behind her toy house, mine in the hutch and Justin's under the office desk! After Looking through our baskets we decided to go to Laney's favorite place to eat breakfast. She calls it the sausage restaurant. Her and Justin go a lot on Sunday mornings for eggs, pancaked and sausage while I head into the salon. We had a nice breakfast and saw all the regulars that the two of them talk to each week.. They all get a kick out of Laney and love to talk to her! When we got home it was time to get busy setting our Easter table for the 15 family members that were joining us for dinner. We had a honey baked ham, leg of lamb, cheesy potatoes, Easter jello, homemade rolls, salad, and peas for dinner. Everything was really good! Thanks everyone for your contributions to the meal! Before dinner we did an egg hunt and Laney found all the eggs considering that she was the ONLY child there. We ended up having a really nice day with our family who was able to join us. I look forward to possibly doing Easter at our home for many years to come!
Here is Laney and Nana the day before Easter with their finished bunny cake they made together.
